"The Board of directors of Tarom approved the sale of the two A-310 aircrafts following route efficiency analyses," reads a document signed by the minister of transports end October, obtained by MEDIAFAX.

The document indicates maintenance and repair operations have been completed only for one of the planes.

Contacted by MEDIAFAX, company spokesman Madalin Tudor confirmed that the company’s management has been authorized to start talks with potential buyers of the two aircrafts.

Tarom bought the two A-310 in 1992, and were put out of use early 2003, when they were included in a repair and maintenance program, with plans to be used for charter flights or sold.

The company’s fleet includes 21 planes: three Airbus 318, two Airbus 310-325, five Boeing 737-300, four Boeing 737-700 and ATR 42-500.
