Petra and his wife left their house and checked in a hotel on Saturday, after the area they were living in was affected by landslide.
“It was safe in there,” Petra said. “I had water supply. There is no Internet connection. That is why I had to leave the house. Otherwise, I am very comfortable staying at home,” he added.
His wife Emilia said they had been living there in the past two years and never had been affected by landslide. She explained she heard a noise at 3.30 in the morning, but became aware of what had happened only four hours later.
“We are not upset about what has occurred because we are comfortable in the house and nothing has happened to us,” she said.
“We will return when the area is declared safe,” Emilia said.
She added they left the house because it was inconvenient for them to go to work and attend events surrounded by rescue teams.
