Romanian arm wrestler Ion Oncescu has won his fifth world title in the 100 kg category, in the championship held in the United States between December 6 and 12, according to a press release by the Romanian Arm Wrestling Association.

In the +110 kg category, Romanian Ioan Puscasu won the bronze medal.
Around 1300 wrestlers from 40 countries took part in this year's World Championship.
