The latest version of the Sandero model, launched at the Geneva International Auto Show in 2008, is called Sandero Stepway and is equipped with a 1.6 liter 90 HP engine. In the first half of 2010, Dacia sold 95,756 Sandero cars, 10,000 more units than in the first half of 2009.

Besides Dacia's plant in Mioveni, southern Romania, the Dacia Sandero model is also assembled at the car plant in Casablanca, Morocco. Other four car plants in Brazil, Columbia, Russia and South Africa produce the Sandero model under the Renault brand.

Late June this year, Automobile Dacia announced it has produced 300,000 Logan MCV station wagons since the model's 2006 launch, as the high sales figures achieved on external markets warranted increased production numbers.

The Dacia range comprises seven models - the Duster, the Logan, the Logan MCV, the Sandero, the Sandero Stepway, the Logan VAN and the Logan Pick-Up.

Dacia posted a 20% sales increase on the year in 2009, at 311,282 units sold.
