Romanian boxer Lucian Bute kept his IBF super middleweight world title after knocking out Colombian challenger Edison “Pantera” Miranda in the third round, on Saturday in Montreal, Canada.

After dominating the first two rounds, Bute floored Miranda in the third with a left uppercut. The Colombian was counted out and Bute was declared the winner in 1:22 into the third round.
The 30-year-old Bute has a record of 26 wins, of which 21 were by knock-out. He became the International Boxing Federation (IBF) super-middleweight champion on October 19, 2007 after knocking out Colombian Alejandro Berrio in Centre Bell, Montreal.
Before Saturday's match, Bute had successfully defended his title four times in the bouts against American William Joppy on February 29, 2008, Mexican Librado Andrade on October 24, 2008, Colombian Fulgencio Zuniga on March 13, 2009, and Andrade again on November 28, 2009.
