The Canadian boxing club InterBox said that the Romanian boxer is bound to fight Librado Andrade (27-1 and no defeat) on Oct 24 in Centre Bell in Montreal.
“I’ll be facing a great challenge on Oct 24 and I will have the fans to support me. Andrade is known here, he is a good boxer. I respect him, but I have no doubt that I will keep my champion title,” said Bute.
Lucian Bute became IBF super-middleweight boxing champion in Oct 2007 after he knocked out Columbian boxer Alejandro Berrio in Centre Bell, Montreal. Bute defended his title Mar 1 after knocking out the American boxer William Joppy in the 10th round.
