Romanian Businessman Silviu Prigoana Might Run For Bucharest District 4 Mayor

Democrat liberal sources told MEDIAFAX that businessman Silviu Prigoana might be nominated by the democrat liberals as candidate for the position of Bucharest District 4 mayor.

In District 1, the democrat liberal candidate might be Vasile Gherasim or Razvan Murgeanu.
In District 2, the candidate might be Daniel Ionescu, current deputy mayor of the district.

In District 3, the candidate will be Liviu Negoita.
In District 5, one of the variants discussed is Cristian Radulescu, the leader of the District 5 branch of the Democratic Liberal Party.
Prigoana told MEDIAFAX that he would only run for mayor with the party that guarantees, in a governing program, the creation of the Bucharest Metropolitan Area, through the absorption of Ilfov county.
"I will not run as an independent candidate. I will only run for a party that has a coherent governing program, which would mention the transformation of Bucharest into a Metropolitan Area, through the absorption of Ilfov county and the transformation of all district mayors into councilors, while the Bucharest mayor would be the only one coordinating loans," Prigoana told MEDIAFAX.
He indicated that, if these requests are guaranteed, he will run for the party that has the most chances of forming the next government.
"I want these conditions written down and signed. But I walk if these things do not happen within 30 days from the moment when the government formed by the party I represent comes into power," Prigoana warned.
"The Bucharest truck needs only one driver. The capital city does not need to be a car with seven steering wheels," Prigoana explained.
