Romanian carmaker Dacia premiered the Logan MCV in the Paris Auto Show. The company also introduced the Logan eco2 concept and the 1.5 liter and 85 hp Sandero diesel, which will be launched in Romania early next year.
Romanian Car Mkr Dacia Introduces The Logan MCV In Paris Auto Show
The revamped Logan MCV has the interior and the front side similar to those of a revamped Logan Sedan, while the rear bumper has seen some slight tweaking.
Automobile Dacia general manager Francois Fourmont told MEDIAFAX late September that a decision regarding the sale of the revamped Logan MCV would be reached in October. At that date, Dacia would also decided the firs markets to received the improved variant of the car.
Logan Renault eco2, made at the Dacia plant in Romania’s Pitesti, comes with a 1.5 liter and 85 hp engine, presented for the first time in November 2007.
The concept observes all three criteria, namely production, use and recycling, which it needs to be included in the Renault eco2 category. The Logan Renault eco2 carbon dioxide emissions will reach 97 grams per one hundred kilometers.
Dacia Sandero is available, starting September, in the 1.5 liter diesel engine with 70 or 85 hp variants on the French market, at a starting price of EUR10,500.
This model will be gradually introduced to all markets selling it, namely in Europe, Turkey and Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia).
The vehicle comes with a three year or 100,000 km guarantee on most European markets.
In 2007, Dacia reported a net profit of 442.34 million lei (EUR1=RON3.7348), 17.2% higher on the year, and a RON6.93 billion turnover, up 24.8% compared with 2006.
Dacia cars are currently marketed in 50 countries.
