Romania’s Sec Comm OKs Anca Dumitru As Bucharest Stock Exchange GM

Dumitru later confirmed the information, and mentioned she will fill in general manager position for six months, until the Bourse’s Board makes a final decision.

 

Dumitru was the general manager of Rasdaq market between 1997 and 2005, until its merger with Bucharest Stock Exchange. In 2002, she was also named the general manager of Brokers’ Association.

 

Stere Farmache announced in December he resigned from the position of Bucharest Stock Exchange general manager but will remain the bourse’s president by the end of 2009, when his mandate ends. Farmache had been the bourse’s general manager since its establishing, in 1995.

 

At the beginning of the year, Farmache was named prime vice president of Alpha Bank Romania.
