Romanian CEC Car Deposits Transferred To BRD To Be State Compensated As Well

The Chamber of Deputies enacted Emergency Ordinance no. 156/2007 compensating individuals who deposited money at CEC in view of purchasing a car, introducing also an amendment regarding the compensations granted to individuals who kept money at BRD.

The Parliament recently approved a law granting compensations to individuals who deposited money at CEC before 1989 in view of purchasing a Dacia car, but the mentioned law did not address the people who transferred this money to BRD.

The Chamber of Deputies has the final say in this matter.
