Racz, 36, was charged with raping a 41 year old woman on January 21, in the Primavalle area in Rome. Later, the woman reconsidered her initial statement which claimed the Romanian had been the perpetrator. Furthermore, DNA test results prove that no biological traces belonging to Karol Racz were to be found on the victim’s body.
Racz had been arrested together with another Romanian, Alexandru Loyos Isztoika, in connection with the rape of a teenage girl on February 14, in the Caffarella Park in Rome. Later, DNA tests cleared the two Romanians of suspicion, but Racz became a suspect in the case of the rape of a 41 year old woman on January 21.
