Romanian Citizens To Be Able To Discount Medical Expenses Made In Hungary

Romanian citizens will be able to discount their medical expenses made in Hungary, for treatment or surgery, according to a plan of measures initiated by the health ministers of Romania and Hungary, who will have a joint meeting in Szeged next week.

The meeting will analyze if an electronic card can be available for both Romanian and Hungarian citizens, to allow them to discount the medical expenses on the territory of their own countries, state secretary with the Government General Secretariat, Attila Cseke, said Thursday.

The measure is part of the two countries' efforts to liberalize healthcare services, Cseke said.
