Romanian football clubs will receive the total sum of EUR1,260,382 within the indemnities mentioned for placing players at the disposal of the national teams, according to an announcement made Thursday by UEFA.

Thus, the Romanian club to receive the most money is Steaua Bucharest, with EUR571,373, followed by Dinamo Bucharest (EUR336,102), CFR Cluj (EUR151,246), FC Timisoara (EUR100,831) and Rapid Bucharest (EUR100,831).

Steaua supplied the Romanian national team with five players for Euro-2008 – Sorin Ghionea, Dorin Goian, Banel Nicolita, Mirel Radoi, Nicolae Dica – and the national team of Poland with one player - Pawel Golanski. Dinamo supplied the Romanian national team with three players: - Bogdan Lobont, Cosmin Moti, Adrian Cristea - FC Timişoara, one player - Marius Popa, and Rapid, one player - Cristian Sapunaru.
 
UEFA announced the total sum paid to the 180 clubs in 24 countries represented in Euro-2008 will reach EUR43.5 million.
