"The company HCR based in Sfantu Gheorghe intends to build on the Rasnov plateau, one kilometer away from the citadel, an amusement park themed with the evolution of dinosaurs," Rasnov mayor Adrian Vestea told MEDIAFAX.
He added the project has already received the urbanism approval and is about to receive the other authorizations as well.
"We have started from the idea that the Brasov area has many hotels and motels, but there are no amusement parks. We want to make a theme park, with 80 dinosaurs, among which 20 will be in natural size," Gabriel Rozorea, who owns 50% of HCR, told MEDIAFAX.
Rozorea said the park will span over four hectares, leased from the Rasnov local council.
"The dinosaurs will be made by an international team of artists. Aside from these, the park will also have 30 accommodation spots, as well as a conference room. Some of the money will come from bank loans, while the remaining money will come from European funds," Rozorea added.
Works will start in spring next year and are set to last until the end of the year or spring 2011 at the latest.
