Fugaru was admitted to hospital last Thursday.
Fugaru was a well-known composer and singer and was the frontman of the Romanian rock band Sincron, founded in 1964 and broken up in 1978. The band played alongside famous Romanian pop stars such as Anda Calugareanu, Pompilia Stoian, Margareta Paslaru, and Corina Chiriac.
Fugaru was part of the jury of numerous local talent shows, had numerous televised concerts, composed film soundtracks, and received several awards at local and international music festivals.
