The candidates in the race for the chairman position are Daniela Popa, Sabin Cutas and Florian Anghel.
The congress will also choose a new secretary general, from one of the two candidates- Codruţ Sereş and Gavrilă Vasilescu respectively, who are running for the position.
The congress will also adopt a series of amendments at the party’s statute. The most important of them is the setup of the position of founder president, to be occupied by Dan Voiculescu, and the creation of an honorific council to be led by the party's founder.
