"There is the chance to create a Partnership for Romania to include the best elements from the Social Democratic Party and the Democratic Liberal Party to give Romania a stable government, as soon as possible,” Boc said at the end of the meeting.

Boc added the two parties will meet Thursday to discuss political aspects regarding the inclusion or exclusion of the Hungarian party UDMR from a future governing coalition.

"We start from the idea that the two parties, one right and one left oriented, can give Romania a political program without destroying their own political identities,” he said, adding that “this time, the right and the left, together, can fix Romania’s problems”.
