Romanian Constr Mkt Won’t Collapse, Invest Continue – Ctrl Bker

The Romanian constructions sector will not collapse, as the private investments will continue and new ones will be launched, central bank governor Mugur Isarescu said Friday.

"(…) Moreover, the number of new building permits rose between December 2008 – January 2009. (…) I don’t think we will face a collapse in this sector," Isarescu  stated.
 
The constructions market registered a significant increase in the last years, with a high contribution in the GDP growth.
 
Isarescu said he should contribute in maintaining the confidence in the Romanian economy, as the psychological aspect is extremely important in overcoming the financial crisis.
