Romanian Customs, Financial Guard To Lay Off 1200 Employees In 60 Days
Romania's revenue service ANAF, Customs Authority and Financial Guard will lay off 2000 employees, as part of their restructuring process, including 1200 in the next 60 days, ANAF president Sorin Blejnar said Friday.

Blejnar said ANAF will run an evaluation to determine the employees to be laid off.
ANAF will also cut more than 550 executive positions, to meet a ratio of 12 managers to 100 employees.
On June 1, the Government decided to cut 4,927 positions in ANAF, including 1200 filled positions. Other jobs will be cut in the National Customs Authority (1427, including 600 filled) and the Financial Guard (713, including 300 filled).
