Romanian Dacia Car Registrations In Spain Up 23.3% In July, To 1,016 Units
Dacia’s share of the Spanish market rose to 1.37% in July, from 0.82% in the same period in 2009.
In the first seven months of 2010, the number of Dacia car registrations climbed to 11,380 units, from 4,289 in the same interval last year. On the Spanish market, Dacia’s share hit 1.83% in the January-July interval, from 0.86% in the same period of 2009.
Dacia’s SUV, the Duster, was ranked eighth in July by the number of off-road car registrations, with 309 sold units. In the first seven months of 2010, Dacia Duster registrations hit 1,866 units, placing the Romanian carmaker’s SUV ninth.
Spanish carmaker Seat is the market leader by the number of car registrations in July (8,816 units) and in the January-July interval (64,352 units).
Renault, owner of Dacia, came in second by the number of car registrations in July (7,917 units), and was ranked fifth in the January-July interval (56,263 units).
In 2009, 8,724 Dacia cars were sold in Spain, up 25.1% compared to 2008 when the market rose by 17.9%, to 952,772 units.
