Onofrei told a news conference Sunday that several democrat liberals senators initiated a draft law to amend the Fiscal Code so that companies will pay the VAT for services to the state only after the state pays the invoice for the respective services, and not before as they currently do, adding it is not normal to pay taxes on a sum that was not cashed.
The democrat liberal senator said the Government representatives did not fully agree with the senators' draft law. After talks with Finance Minister Sebastian Vladescu it was decided that the fiscal measure proposed by democrat liberals can only be applied for services targeting state institutions.
Onofrei said the draft law will be debated in the Senate next week.
