The financing will be provided from the state budget, through a Government decision.
So far, the Government has approved six decisions to take over lands necessary for construction. The six decisions mention 587 plots to be expropriated in exchange for RON14.94 million.
The beltway will be 18.6 km long and 10 m wide, and have two bridges, four viaducts and two road junctions.
The Transports Ministry will also increase the expropriation area needed to widen the Ploiesti Vest beltway to four lanes by 5,960 square meters, paying RON1.6 million. So far, the Government will pay RON4.748 million to expropriate 865 plots.
Prime Minister Emil Boc announced Saturday that work on the west part of the Ploiesti beltway would be completed a month early, on October 30. Work began on November 2007 and aim to enlarge the road to four lanes for 14 km and set up five road crossings. The total investment cost is EUR43 million, allocated by the Transports Ministry.
The funds for expropriations will be transferred by the ministry into an account of the Romanian Highway and National Road Company within 30 days.
