"PD is open to collaboration with PSD for this draft law. We are not keen on assuming paternity for the law; we can choose either of the variants proposed in parliament. We can take the positive elements from each draft: the reduction in the number of lawmakers from ours and the proposal of two rounds of elections from PSD’s,” Boc said.

The democrat leader added the “key” to the enactment of this draft is with social democrats, who must decide whether they stay consistent with the draft submitted in parliament or align with group and personal interests of the Tariceanu government.

Romania’s Constitutional Court on Wednesday deemed unconstitutional the law introducing the uninominal voting system for which the government assumed responsibility in parliament.
