The draft was initially included in a Government emergency ordinance which was approved on May 20, but the normative act was not published in the Official Journal.
Sarbu said the document was not sent to the Official Journal as the Government thought there were too many such normative acts and decided to further promote it in the Parliament.
The Chamber of Deputies will hold an extraordinary session on July 27.
The draft law includes some of the Code of Good Practices, signed in July last year by retailers and producers. Although the Code was enforced last year, the producers complained several times that the document has not changed the taxes and the practices of the large chains and that the sector needs to be regulated by law.
