Romanian Deputies Clear Bill On Selling State-Owned Buildings
The deputies decided to preserve an amendment voted by senators which stipulate RAAPPS assets can be sold either through direct negotiation or public auction.
However, the deputies said direct negotiation sales cannot be conducted unless the price is equal or above the level established by an independent evaluator.
The bill also stipulates that tenants of RAAPPS buildings are to be given preemption right if they should choose to buy them through direct negotiation.
Such tenants must pay minimum 30% of the building’s price upfront, while the remaining amount should be paid in monthly rates over a period of maximum two years.
