Romanian Deputy Demands Withdrawal Of International Support To Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic Integration

Romanian deputy Constantin Codreanu said Tuesday that his party, People’s Movement Party, will demand the withdrawal of international support given to Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic Integration, after Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko passed the new education bill.

Codreanu said that he will demand this because Ukraine has failed to respect fundamental European values and has returned to a „Soviet-era behavior”.

The deputy also said that his party considers attacking the law at Ukraine’s Constitutional Court.

The new Ukrainian education law states that secondary school and higher education courses will be available only in Ukrainian, while education in minority languages will take place only in kindergartens and primary schools.
