He said lawmakers will therefore overturn the decision made Monday, that Nica doesn’t need to be heard in Parliament.

"On Monday, we decided there is no need for Parliament hearings, but things have settled and we’ve come to the conclusion that Nica has to be heard by Parliament commission,” Oltean said.

He said the reason for the overturn on the decision is an article in the Constitution which states that Parliament approval is needed if the government’s political structure changes.

The Parliament’s standing offices decided Monday that interim interior minister Nica, who is also deputy prime minister, doesn’t need Parliament approval to become interior minister.
