The proposition targets to amend Law no. 152/1998 on the setting up of ANL, to further ease purchase procedures for homes built by ANL, by selling them at inventory prices updated in ratio with the inflation rate.
Democrat liberal secretary of state with the Department for the Relation with Parliament, Valentin Iliescu, said Tuesday the proposition signed by social democrat senators Alexandru Mazare and Eduard Martin targets to use the money obtained from sales solely to build new homes in the areas where ANL homes were sold.
Iliescu said the government disagrees with the legislative proposition and disapproved it.
He added the government adopted late May a decision approving the transfer of blocks of flats built by ANL for youngsters from the public property of state into the private property of state, to be further sold to young tenants.
The public administration committee adopted a report rejecting the legislative proposition with six votes in favor and three abstentions.
The report says that, according to ANL general manager, nearly 700-800 housing applications from mayoralties have been registered, and prices range from EUR14,000 to EUR100,000, depending on the areas where sale procedures are concluded.
