Giurgiu told MEDIAFAX that the new festival will be organized in association with Cluj based Amprenta Advertising, an agency with which he also collaborated for the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF).
Cristian Grindea, with Amprenta Advertising, told MEDIAFAX that the festival will be called "Dracula Dreamin'" and its budget will reach over EUR500,000. The promotion campaign for the festival will unfold in the classic environments - TV, written press, radio, indoor, outdoor - and online.
Organizers plan to include "Dracula Dreamin'" in the genre festival circuit, which includes titles like "Horror Fest" and "Dead by Dawn," both from Great Britain, "Fantastic Film Festival", organized in Brussels, and "Fantasy Film Fest" in Germany.
Tudor Giurgiu set the basis for the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF), which kicked off in 2002 in Cluj, being the most important film festival in Romania. The latest edition of TIFF saw the participation of 160 films from 39 countries.
