Eurozone economic sentiment indicator plunged to its lowest level since August 1993, dropping 5.1 points to 74.9 in November, the survey noted.
In the EU bloc, economic sentiment fell 6.7 points to 70.5.
Business confidence in Romania dropped to -6 points from 1 point in October, the European Commission said.
Aside for Cyprus and Bulgaria, both scoring 1 point each in the business confidence indicator, all other Member States registered negative values in November.
The confidence in the Romanian services sector saw a 10-point drop to 13, while consumer confidence plummeted to -24 points from -15 in October.
