Romanian Ex-FM Appointed Ambassador To Berlin

Comanescu said at the hearings prior to his nomination that some of his short-term objectives are improving the cooperation with Germany in view of Romania’s accession to Schengen area and OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe).

 

He said Romania and Germany can work together regarding the relationship between the European Union and Russia, as well as the Republic of Moldova.

 

Also, the two countries can find cooperation modalities for the Black Sea region.

 

Comanescu mentioned Romania and Germany should work on capitalizing the economic potential at the Danube River.
