Romanian First - Eight Teams In IFFHS Chart

Romania is registered in November, for the first time, with eight teams in the International federation for Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) chart, published Monday, in Dusseldorf, the top Romanian position (70) being held by Steaua Bucharest, with the same rank as in October.

Steaua has 133 points, the same as Lazio Roma (Italy) and PSV Eindhoven (Holland).

Rapid Bucharest is ranked 147, with 94 points, after it registered a 43-position drop. Rapid has the same number of points as Empoli (Italy) and CD Saprissa San Juan de Tibas San Jose (Costa Rica).

Otelul Galati is ranked, after a six-position drop, on the same position with TSKA Moscova (Russia), ranked 167. The two teams collected 87.5 points each.

The leader of the Romanian League I chart, CFR Cluj, is ranked 189, after a 31-position climb. CFR, which has 82.5 points, is on the same level as Olimpia Asuncion (Paraguay), Universidad San Martin de Porres (Peru) and Liga Deportivo Alajuelense Alajuela (Costa Rica).

Dinamo is ranked 204, with 80 points, tied with AJ Auxerre (France), Aston Villa (England), Udinese Calcio (Italy), Bamin Real Potosi (Bolivia) and Betis Sevilla (Spain), after a 102-position drop.

Poli Stiinta Timisoara is ranked 247, after a 14-position drop, with 73.5 points. The team is on the same level as Universitario de Deportes Lima (Peru), CD Universidad de Chile Santiago (Chile), Linfield FAC (N. Ireland) and Aberdeen FC (Scotland).

A new entry in the 350 position hierarchy is Romania’s Unirea Urziceni, ranked 319, with 64.5 points. The team is on the same position as Adelaide United FC (Australia) and Nublense (Chile).

The last Romanian team present in the chart is Gloria Bistrita, ranked 329, with 63.5 points, while in October it was ranked 293.
