Romanian FM Hopes Romania Gets Clear Schengen Entry Date This Fall

Romania’s accession to Schengen in 2011 is uncertain as two member states have raised objections regarding the draft document to be debated in June in the Council of Justice and Home Affairs.

Interior Ministry official Florin Saghi said on May 20 the two states proposed no clear accession date for Romania and Bulgaria be stated in the document. He declined to name the two states.
