Cioroianu told MEDIAFAX reporters he asked Voronin if Moldova’s path to the European Union is not somewhat easier, considering the country shares the same official language as Romania, which is already an EU member.
Although the two languages are identical, the Moldovan language appeared before Romanian, Voronin replied, mentioning this is the reason he will always stand for an independent Moldovan language.
The Munich Conference on Security Policy was attended by political leaders and security experts from some 50 countries.
