Romania football champion CFR Cluj suffered its first defeat in the Champions League, after losing 0-1 the away game against France’s Girondins Bordeaux, in a game counting for round three of group A.

The only goal of the match was scored in minute 54 when Cluj captain Ricardo Cadu deflected the ball in his team’s own net. This is the first own-goal scored in groups by a player from a Romanian team.

The team of referees came from Croatia, with Ivan Bebek at the center, assisted on the sidelines by Tomislav Petrovici and Tomislav Setka, while Marijo Strahonja was reserve.
Yellow cards were given to: Chalme '22, Chamakh '33, Rame '37/ Peralta '21, Cadu '41, Culio '59, Trica '67 and '89 (two yellow cards - red card), Muresan '71.
Some 30,000 spectators attended the game.
