Romanian Footballer Adrian Mutu Tests Positive For Sibutramine
Romanian footballer Adrian Mutu, striker for Italy’s Fiorentina, tested positive for sibutramine at an anti-doping test taken on January 10, 2010, after a match against Bari in the Italian championship, the Italian Olympic Committee said Thursday.

Sibutramine is an anorectic or appetite suppressant, reducing the desire to eat.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported Mutu, who has had issues with substance abuse in the past, risks a one to four years suspension under the World Anti-Doping Code.
Mutu, 31, tested positive for cocaine back in 2004, when he was playing for Chelsea London, was suspended for seven months over drugs use by the English Football Association. Mutu has been ordered to pay EUR17 million to Chelsea for breach of contract.
