Romanian Footballer Mutu Drops Appeal Against Suspension
Romanian footballer Adrian Mutu will not file an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sports against the Italian Olympic Committee’s decision to suspend him for nine months after he tested positive for a banned substance, his attorney said Tuesday, cited by news agency Ansa.

Mutu's Attorney, Francesco Rodello, said the suspension will expire at the end of October and the Court of Arbitration can not issue a ruling on the appeal before that time.
The Italian Olympic Committee's antidoping tribunal on April 19 ruled to suspend Romanian footballer Adrian Mutu for nine months after he tested positive for banned sibutramine at an antidoping test taken on January 10, 2010.
