National Road Co Sends Highway Gas Station Contracts To OMV, Rompetrol, Petrom

Romanian Road Company CNADNR sent the contracts on building gas stations on Bucharest-Cernavoda highway to oil companies OMV, Rompetrol and Petrom, and mobile gas stations will be operational in maximum 30 days, the company’s officials said Tuesday.

According to the contract, closed for a maximum 29-year period, investors will have to finalize the gas stations construction in six months from signing the contracts.

Austria’s OMV will build and operate two gas stations, as well as Romania’s largest oil company Petrom, while the country’s second-largest oil company, Rompetrol, will open four gas stations.

Rompetrol Downstream general manager, Dan Rosu, said the company’s mobile gas stations, containing some 20,000 liters of fuel, will become operational in due time, after getting all authorizations.
