Flu Epidemic: Death Toll Reaches 95
A 61-year old man from Prahova county and a 74-year old woman from Constanta county, both diagnosed with type A influenza, succumbed to the disease on Thursday.
Both victims were also suffering from other diseases. The man did not receive flu shots, while the woman’s vaccination history is unknown.
Romania’s Health Ministry declared a flu epidemic on January 30, following three consecutive weeks in which the number of new cases surpassed initial estimates.
