Romanian Govt Might Hike Taxable Ceiling For Pensions – Labor Min

“When we revise the Fiscal Code, we have to hike the taxable ceiling for pensions as well. This is a necessary thing (…). I will talk with the finance minister to do this at the Code’s revision,” Sarbu said.

 

The existing taxable ceiling for pensions is set at 1000 lei (EUR1-RON4.3096).

 

On Tuesday, Sarbu met some 100 pensioners, members of the seniors’ organization of the Social Democratic Party branch in Bucharest.

 

The minister and pensioners talked about some of the difficulties the pensioners are facing.
