Boc, who held a videoconference with the county prefects Sunday, also said the decrease in the country's jobless rate over the past few months was only circumstantial, driven by the summer period.
Boc stressed things have gotten worse as far as the social security unemployment budget is concerned. He pointed out that, although revenues to the social security budget haven't decreased and are similar to revenues in the first half of 2009, costs with unemployment benefits are expected to double due to the restructuring process is the public sector.
The prime minister added, however, that Romania's jobless rate is still way below the average of other European Union countries.
Romania's jobless rate slightly fell to 7.44% in June, from 7.67% a month earlier, the country's employment agency ANOFM said early July. The total number of unemployed people reached 680,782 in June, down by 21,072 people from the month before, ANOFM also said.
