Boc announced Wednesday night the government had decided in the weekly Cabinet Meeting to assume responsibility before Parliament for the adoption of the three laws regarding education, wages in the public sector and the reorganization of government agencies to cut spending in the public sector.
The prime minister and the ministers of labor, education and justice discussed Saturday the three draft laws, including the last-minute changes to the unitary pay law agreed with unions Thursday and Friday. The meeting was also attended by a representative of the Ministry if Finance.
The government’s letter regarding its decision to take responsibility for the draft laws was received by the Parliament on Friday and the reunited Standing Offices of the legislative power will meet Monday to set up a calendar for the procedure.
