"We met with Nuclearelectrica’s leadership that envisages the perspective (e.n. the company’s shares listing on BVB), but this process has not started yet," Farmache said the "CEE Credit Risk" conference organized by Moody’s rating agency.
Farmache also said Nuclearelectrica might list its shares in the first part of 2009 provided the listing procedure starts at yearend.
Nuclearelectrica, the operator of the nuclear plant in Cernavoda, is 88.7% state-owned, while Romania’s investment fund Fondul Proprietatea owns a 11.24% stake in the company.
Farmache also said International Airport Henri Coanda Otopeni could list a 5% of its shares on BVB by yearend.
Romanian Transport Ministry holds an 80% stake in the airport, while investment fund Fondul Proprietatea a 20% stake.
