Romanian Environment Ministry Seeks To Improve 2011 Clunkers Program

People with direct knowledge of talks told MEDIAFAX Wednesday that authorities in the field are analyzing the results of this year’s clunkers program with a view to determining the aspects that must be improved. The sources stressed the ministry has not yet made any official decision regarding the car park renewal program to be implemented next year.

The sources said authorities are considering increasing the maximum number of scrapping vouchers an individual can use to buy a new car, and added this is one of various other scenarios considered.
