The draft emergency ordinance applying the unitary wage law, obtained and presented Friday by MEDIAFAX, established that vacant positions in the public sector would be frozen in 2010 as well as in 2011, while until the end of 2011 there would also be a ban on the procurement, lease or rental of vehicles, furniture and office equipment in administration.
"Cartel Alfa" union leader Bogdan Hossu told MEDIAFAX Friday that the freezing of vacant positions in the public sector would render the crisis more acute in certain sectors, as public utility services would function in an even more deficient manner.
