The decentralization process will transfer onto local authorities attributions in sectors such as education, healthcare, public order, culture, social assistance, transports and agriculture, according to a government document obtained by MEDIAFAX.
Decentralization will imply amendments to the law regarding local public administration, prefects, the statute of public servants, the statute of local elect officials and the law on public property. Decentralization strategies will be drafted by May 4.
