Romanian Hanescu Qualified In Second Round At Roland Garros

Romanian tennis player Victor Hanescu, 30th seeded, qualified Monday in the second round at Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam tournament of the year, according to the competitions’ official website.

In the first round, Hanescu beat Belgian Steve Darcis 7-6 (10/8), 7-6 (7/5), 7-6 (7/3).

For the qualification in the second round, Hanescu will receive 45 ATP points and a cheque for EUR24,500.

In the second round, Hanescu will play against Russian Mikhail Youzhny, who beat Luxemburg’s Gilles Muller 7-6 (7/2), 6-1, 6-4.
