Nica said he held a videoconference with the chiefs of county police inspectorates, the border police and of the gendarme inspectorates to assess the results of the “Street” action, which started on February 18 and covered all localities in the country.

He said people who do their jobs exemplary will be awarded, while those who fail at their jobs will be fired.

“People who do their jobs in MAI (the Ministry of Administration and Interior – e.n.) stay, those who don’t will leave,” Nica said, mentioning Bucharest is the ministry’s top priority.
