Romanian Judoka Corina Caprioriu Wins Gold At Euro Champs In Vienna

Caprioriu was the winner of the B pool, after defeating Hannah Brueck (Germany) and Jovana Rogici (Serbia), qualifying for the semi-finals, where she beat Italian Giulia Quintavalle. In the final, Caprioriu defeated Austrian Sabina Filzmoser, winning the European gold.

Romania's team was made up of Caprioriu, Alina Dumitru and Andreea Catuna. Dumitru won the gold in the -48 kg division, while Catuna, competing in the -52 kg category, was eliminated in the first round by Albanian Majlinda Kelmendi.
