Romanian Leu Up Vs Euro, Exch Rate At 4.3537

Against the US dollar, the leu’s indicative gained 0.5% on the day at 3.542 units.

The leu opened at 4.363/4.366 to the euro, slightly higher from 4.3665/4.3695 at Wednesday’s closing.

At around GMT1000, the leu traded at 4.35 per euro, after hitting an intraday high at 4.337 per euro.

On the money market Thursday, overnight rates fell to 5.4%-5.9% a year, from 6.3%-6.8% a year the day before.
